Rio Grande Fence Co. of Nashville hosted the fifth annual Fence Skills Championship™ on August 27, 2022 at their facility in Nashville, TN. RGF's 14 crew teams, comprised of four crew members each, competed in six unique events. An overall team winner, Truck #17, was crowned at the end of the event as champions and earned championship belts. This year's events included Ameristar Montage Commercial fence installation, cantilever slide gate installation, fence rental installation, chain link fence installation, fence screen installation, and a PPE safety challenge. Fence Skills Championship™ highlights fence products and installations Rio Grande Fence Co. performs for customers in the Mid-South region.
"We intentionally feature our most popular products and services that customers request at our event to highlight our speed and precision in commercial fence installation," said Derek Smith, Chief Operating Officer. Employees' families were in attendance to join in on the fun. A kids touch-a-truck setup allowed children to safely climb in a Ford F-450 Crew Cab, a CAT 259D3, and a forklift. Another favorite, among the kids, was the Power Wheels truck race held inside a track comprised of RGF's 42" crowd control panels. As a 5-time winner of the American Fence Association's Contractor of the Year Award, it's fun to see the best commercial fence installation crews compete at the annual Fence Skills Championship™.
